We are
celebrating our 50th
year of service to our
community. Your Bridge and
Executive Committees have
worked hard to offer both a
variety and a number of
projects over the next few
months to help us celebrate
this significant milestone. To
this end, along with our
typical training we are
scheduling three General
Membership Meetings, the
annual Christmas Supper/Dance,
and three separate Rendezvous
opportunities.
The three
General Membership Meetings
are scheduled at the
Travelodge Silver Bridge Inn
in Duncan for the usual second
Wednesday in each of October,
January, and March.
1)
Oct. 14 – This event has been
changed to a regular Bridge
Meeting at the MBYC at 1900
hrs.
2)
Jan. 13 – The fall class
Graduation Ceremonies and the
pledging of new members will
follow a short bridge meeting at
the Maple Bay Rowing Club.
This is an excellent occasion
to meet your bridge and staff
advisors. There will also be
social with refreshments to
follow.
3)
Mar. 10 – The evening will
focus on member training
opportunities and include
local and Squadron personnel
offering short presentations
on a variety of subjects that
are covered in the squadron
advanced and elective courses.
Information tables will
feature course materials,
course outlines, and sign-up
sheets for your perusal.
The very
successful pot luck
Christmas
Dinner /Dance
will again be held Nov. 28 at
the Glenora Hall. Watch for
further announcements on the
website for this celebration.
Cost is $12.50/ person plus
your contribution of a veggie
or dessert dish.

are:

to the Gills”

Inlet. Paul Richards is
going and has agreed to
co-host this with Holly Fowler
and they will be seeking
support.

May 7 to 9 - The immensely
popular 2nd Annual
Mother’s Day Pig Roast and
Rendezvous program will
include spring Graduation
Ceremonies and member’s awards
